*Class 7
I was divided to Class 7, and literally it was the highest level
class. There are only sixteen students in our class, and five are
from Taiwan, including me. Others come from Japan, China,Hungary
(Yep,it's Julia.), France(Yep,it's Leon.),Korea and Italy.Our
beautiful and sweet teacher is "Irena",and she is from Russian.
However, she've immagrated to Vancouver for several years, so she
speak English fluently and pretty beautifully!
*No Homework and No Test
Irena asked to write down our expectation to this class. Every group
wrote "no homework and no test". And guess what? Irena agreed generously.
She said, because our program is "Language and Culture", we share our
cultures and sharpen up our listening and speaking skills. In fact, I
had crush on Irena on the first day not only she was really nice but
also there was no burden of assignments to disturb us.(I'm lazy,
you know.XD)
*Media Class in the Afternoon
Our teacher is John, and he is extremely a gentleman. He always listened
to our opinions carefully and very very patiently. He is nice, but I
sometimes felt sleepy in class.(When I type this, I feel guilty.^^")
Today's topic is about "On Strike". It is common in western countries, and
Canada is not an exception. But it made me so surprise because their
strike last maybe several months. For example, there is no bus for three
months because the bus drivers were on strike.I can't imagine that if
there was bus, how can we go to UBC every day? Western people are tend
to brave to struggle for their credits but it also cause some inconvenience
for innocent residents there.
*Cooking Club
ELI prepared variey of activities for us, and Tuesday is used to be
Cooking Club. Today's menu is Chocolate Pot,and so many Japanese girls
joined it. Aya is very cute Japanese girl, and she's also an English major
and become a junior next semester. We talked about so many popular songs,
movies and my favorite cartoon(Pi Li Pa La~ Pi Li Pa La~).Japanese girl
is really adorable, especially when they are speaking.(ha~ XD)
*Ha Ha point XD
This was the first time Jessie said that "You can catch my tempo."
Today I wanted to go to the kitchen to join the cooking club, and I
said to Michelle and Vicky, I will go to the "chicken". Honestly, for me
"chicken and kitchen" sounds alike. I felt so embarrassed because I
am an English major. But it's funny. XD
Since this day, Jessie had started to mistake as a Japanese by others.
