Transportation
*The subway in Taiwan is much much better than in Boston (also better than in Vancouver).
Cleaner, more bright,more stable, and there is air conditioning everywhere in Taiwan.
*Many people read on the bus.
Houses
*They wear shoes in the house. I feel it is not comfortable.
*They decorate their house with picture, dolls and antiques, like Arllen has collected
dolls since she was a child. And she put their pictures of family everywhere.
*You don't have to do housework because automatic machines will help you, like dish-washer, washer, dryer.
*Husbands do housework. Steve cleans the house and does laundry.
Food
*They don't eat a lot for meal. Most time, our dinner's just like pork&salad, corns&beef.
No more than three dishes no soup and no fruit.
(Then how come many Americans are so fat?)
*BBQ is not real BBQ, there are just hotdogs, sausage and grilled meat which cooked in the kitchen.
Others
*People get married in their early tweenties, like Arleen's three daughters.
*Girls wear nail polish, so do women and old women.
*Girls dress like show thier half breast out.
*Old people, like Auntie drive, read, and even play computer. And Auntie likes to eat sweets.
